Cape Cod is made up of 15 towns and small beach communities. Almost every town has an independently owned surf shop that sells everything you would ever need for a day at the local beach. What is a surf shop? The formal definition is;
A SURF SHOP (Noun) A shop that sells clothing and equipment for the beach; Localised retail stores that sell or rent surfboards and the related fashions and equipment used for surfing, skimboarding, or bodyboarding.
You know a surf shop when you see it. You walk in and smell the rubber from the wet suites. They have a tide chart on the wall. The best ones always have a new beach game you have never seen before and stickers at the counter from your favorite sunglass brand. You cant leave without a t-shirt or hat! The best ones are independently owned and the staff knows everything about the local beach and community. Stop in and get your beachwear when you see one!
